KEC are the inventors, the scientists, and manufacturers that developed the KVAR Energy Controller.
There are other individuals and companies that have produced ‘knock-off’ facsimiles brands and some were manufactured illegally, and they have illegally used our patent and UL numbers. They are NOT the KVAR brand. Some of these other units are poorly manufactured. KEC has tested many of them and found them not to work and some have actually caused some serious problems, such as fires.
Do not let a representatives from one of these companies install a KEC box or connect a KVAR unit to your electrical circuitry without doing sizing with the patented KVAR technology. They will not be able to determine your power factor or optimize as needed.
We stand behind our product 100%. KVAR carries a 12-year manufacturers warranty for the Residential Unit and a 5-year manufacturers warranty for the Commercial and Industrial Units, is UL, NASA, CSA listed, and cleaner greener certified to reduce your carbon foot print. It is also made in the USA. Also, ask these the other imposters for these certifications and their liability insurance.
